Description:

If you just want to stop media from autoplaying, you can change setting from Navigation bar -> Settings -> Account -> Content subset -> unclick Video autoplay

This style will remove both photo preview and display. You can middle click "view photo" to view the photo in new tab.

PS: you can just middle click or drag the time stamp of the post right after poster's name to view the picture in new tab ;)

Twitter has again merged photo view css. Now this style only affects homepage, if you need other pages like lists or search results. You need to add you own url or url-prefix in the css. You can try it yourself or ask for help in the community.
