Description:

The search and notification area of Google Calendar are moved to clear up vertical space. See screenshots.

THIS USERSTYLE IS ONLY COMPATIBLE WITH GCAL'S CLASSIC INTERFACE; click options-icon, and select "Use the classic look".

More info
It's a fan update of the great user style GCal: hide #topBar, keep msgs and search by mod_wastrel@userstyles, as the notification messages did not show up anymore, and the overlay of the search bar is overlapping by design.

As GCal recently changed their interface, Google can stop support for the 'classic interface' at any time, at which this userstyle stops working.

25 June 2011 update: fixed overlay bug for event time chooser (as was kindly pointed out below by telecaster). Tested in Firefox 5
29 May 2011 update: fixed minor overlay bugs & dependency of default notifications' left alignment (the value was relative to my layout shown in screenshots). Tested in Firefox 3.6
