With the style applied

Description:

Tries to undo the Beta changes to Slashdot.

With the failure of Slashdot Beta, Dice stated they would leave Slashdot alone, only making incremental changes "where they make sense". What this really means is that they're slowly rolling up Beta changes into the main site. This style tries to undo or at least make these changes palatable.

Comments / suggestions / forks / whatever welcome.

Changes:
  • Removes Share crap.
  • Moves the new "comment bubble" so that it's back under the article summary.
  • Adjusts the article image so it's not covering the title.
  • Minimizes video articles.
  • Removes Slashdot Deals.
  • Removes sponsored content articles.
This also effects similar listing pages, such as the list of user comments and journals, etc.

Various Rationale:

Share links are damned stupid.

Having the number of comments left-aligned with the article titles makes it a lot easier to scan down the page looking for interesting posts. It also is easier to see and click on.

Moving the images down a little prevents them from completely covering the article title.

Changelog:
