uso #426395

Added by NotTheMama@userstyles, Created: Feb 02, 2016, Updated: Mar 02, 2016

Description:

The original uso blue, #426395, takes over as the primary color.

Change some annoying site defaults, like the "dull yellow" site header and too pale blue sidebar boxes; show CSS in an overlay; new styles browse background colors--easier on my eyes; also wider for wide-screen monitors (for those who zoom); new look+spacing for pagination (larger "buttons" = quicker mouse clicking); hardly any annoyances remain.

More info
Some primary goals of this style: use the original (aka "classic") blues of the early layouts of userstyles.org as much as possible; try not to add any code which would slow down page load and rendering ("speed thrills"); use colors that are easy on the eyes. Some other styles are "prettier", but they're also a bit distracting. I've tried to keep this one plain and simple.

NOTE: The current screenshots are now up-to-date (reflecting current style code), however I do plan on replacing them with a more comprehensive set as time allows.

----
2016-02-27: I've updated the code and will update the screenshots soon. Those who installed my http://freestyler.ws/style/135573/uso-edit-save-bar style may want to disable it since it uses similar--but different--code on the same elements. Let me know about anything you think looks "wrong" (bound to be something, the way I keep adding stuff).

2016-02-26: I'm putting the "finishing touches" on the next update, and as much as it looks the same, it also adds a number of restyled elements that have a notably different look about them (read: I'll have to redo the screenshots). That's OK. I have something I'll enjoy using while I work on my Firefox style (while it's still possible to style Firefox). Blues and greens and yellows, oh my (and an old Stylish icon to boot). Now, where's that Save but- oh yeah... ;)

2016-02-22: added "Easter egg" in the code to make the left sidebar wider (see the screenshot); it also makes the search selection option text a bit larger.

2016-02-21: added some new stuff--little things

2016-02-19: new name reflecting that almost all of the blues either are or derived from the original userstyles.org blue (#426395); added some stuff, cleaned up some code. The screenshots are still mostly accurate.

2016-02-03: "later that same day..." second update (more of the same)
2016-02-03: first update, added some stuff, cleaned up some
----
Isn't that always the way... you post a style, then you get more ideas for the layout. Typical coder. Workin' on it.
----
Less (open space) is more (boxes, boxes, ... even more boxes)
Less (code) is more (elegant [and more fun when time comes to update])
Less (annoying) is more (better).
