Goodreads adjustments
Description:
More info
I haven't included a screenshot because:
1. this style has effects right across the site;
2. privacy!
I am not a coding expert, so this is fairly simple. There are probably more efficient or elegant ways to do this :) However, it works and looks aesthetically pleasing in Firefox across various different displays. I have not yet had the time to test it in other browsers, so YMMV. It is CSS only, there is no scripting or other things that may pose a security threat.
I release this to the public domain for use or amendment by anyone, with no credit requested or required.

UPDATE 6TH AUGUST 2016
Fixed an error where removing the book blurbs on the home page feed also removed the majority of the recommendations content on the home page.
Added some special requests. These are switched off by default, you will need to uncomment them to make them active. They are:
1. Hiding user pic next to comment box in home page feed
2. Hiding both user pic AND comment box in home page feed
3. Turning the font colour identifying new posts back to red
4. Reducing the size of both currently reading and recommended book cover images
5. Moving number of books on shelves from left to right in home page feed

UPDATE 7TH AUGUST 2016
I've added some more options. These are switched off by default, you will need to uncomment them to make them active. They are:
1. Adjusting the home page feed to two column view, allowing you to choose whether to have the feed on the left or right of the page.
2. Adding options to hide some of the elements in the other column on the home page feed.
