This does two things only: makes gmail (and inbox) text bigger and clearer. The "clearer" part applies to Safari only (it corrects a bug that makes fonts jagged in certain contexts). You will have bigger text only in email contents, some listings, and also when composing an email or replying. (The other end, however, will not see a bigger font, but rather the standard size.)
