The default style was a bit too harsh to me. I first turned the background to the same as on HN, but then after some inspiration from http://hackful.com/posts/203 I cobbled together this. I am assuming either the Hackful people will change the default to something more bearable, or that someone else comes along to make something more solid, but this should do for anyone seeking at least temporary relief.

Seems to work in Chrome, Firefox and Opera at least.
