Hide header - WebMD

Added by hideheader@userstyles, Created: Jun 04, 2012, Updated: Jun 05, 2012

Description:

Every doodad on a web page is useful to somebody sometimes, but usually they're just clutter. This style hides the header, footer, and sidebars (and all their doodads) by reducing them to thin placeholders at the top, bottom, and left edge of the screen, and expands them again when you mouse over a placeholder. The Save/Share/Font toolbar isn't auto-hidden, but it's been moved from above the article text to below it.

Nothing is removed from a page, only hidden at one of the edges of the screen. (Out of sight!)

More info
Most pages on http://www.webmd.com/ have two sidebars, a table of contents on the left and a list of other articles on the right. Both sidebars are auto-hidden on the left edge of the screen; the inside (right) placeholder is the table of contents, the outside (left) placeholder is the article list.

N.B.: I use http://adblockplus.org/. If this page looks busier in your browser than in the screenshot, that's probably why.
