I have a LARGE monitor and HIGH resolution, and the default Ancestry.com tree uses tiny fonts to make room for photos (most of which are useless placeholders in my tree). This customization removes the photos, changes the font sizes, style, and position for readability at a smaller zoom level, and colors the nodes based on gender.

This uses the "Trebuchet MS" font, which does a good job balancing narrow width with serifs that improve readability. If you have a Mac, you'll need to see if this font is installed, and if not, go find and install it.
This stylesheet is not endorsed by or supported by Ancestry.com. I'm just a user, and have no other affiliation with them.
Known issues: -- wide names may touch the edges of the node box or be clipped off. This is a trade-off for a larger font size. -- Does not work right in Pedigree mode (which I never use personally but may still fix someday). -- This has only been tested on Google Chrome, and may not function in IE or Firefox.
Version 2013-10-27. -- Fixed based on recent changes to Ancestry coding. -- Photo now floats above the node when you hover, so you can still see the main photo (excluding default silhouettes)
