Based on the work from cskevint. This fixes a few usability issues (e.g. the scrollbars hidden behind the main window scrollbar) and further cleans up the interface by removing the additional space at the top.

While I'm certainly not against adds in the interface, the share size of the right handed column meant that I was suffering in terms of usability and that lead me to seek out a version which took such things into consideration.
