MetaFilter Modern Tweak
Description:
More info
- restores gold links (including hover/visited variations)
- makes post titles grey again (except in FanFare, to distinguish series from episodes)
- removes "posted by" highlights (lowlights?)
- slightly shrinks the secondary nav bar font size
- whitens the search bar
- recolors the post filter bars (recent, popular, etc.)
- removes the green line at the very top of the page
- tweaks the site logo to make it more like the original, including some fancy-pants CSS3 skewing
- fixes a few minor bugs with the existing style
There is an optional "REMOVE POST TITLES" section at the beggining of the script, commented out by default, to hide post titles on the front page of each subsite, leaving room for more content. If you want to hide titles, just delete the /* and */ from before and after the line referencing the appropriate subsite.
This script also recolors all FanFare pages along the lines of the http://freestyler.ws/style/98602/metafilter-fanfare-full-recolor, but in the new layout.
All changes are labeled in the source code for easier customization -- just delete any sections you don't want. If you prefer FanFare's default purple design, for instance, just delete everything after "/* FANFARE RECOLORING */" towards the end of the userscript code. Just remember to leave a final closing "}" bracket!
