Description:

Have you wanted the first letter of emails you receive to be gigantic, stand out from the rest of the text, and be generally ridiculous and/or illegible?

Today's your lucky day.

This style tries to create a http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drop_cap#Types_of_initials effect on your incoming email text bodies in Gmail. Works pretty well for non-html messages. It uses an elegant http://www.fontsquirrel.com/fonts/Rothenburg-Decorative.

Suggestions are welcome.

You can get the style here which embeds the font locally:

This may be necessary now until I figure out how to get @font-face working with remote resources.

Note: If you copy and paste this to embed the font yourself, double-check the base64 data to make sure no line breaks or other white space has snuck in after pasting.

You can change the font color to whatever you want. I prefer the red and gold colors that are commented into the end of the code.
