The style is divided into sections as follows:

BIG BACKGROUND
ICON BAR
ICON BAR BACKGROUND
AVATAR ARROW
CONTENT
POST BACKGROUND
SELECTION ARROW
GREEN BUTTONS
RADAR
NEW CONTENT

Each section is commented with a beginning/description and an end.
Example:

/*ICON BAR BACKGROUND begin -background for the icon bar*/
#new_post {
background: rgba(255, 255, 255, 1.0) !important;
}
/*ICON BAR BACKGROUND end*/

Modification of your dashboard using this style can be as easy or elaborate as you wish... it's all up to you and your imagination!
