This improves the scrollable literature thumbs you see across the site so that they mimic the style of the new journal thumbs. Basically, it makes scrollable literature thumbs look nicer. At least in my opinion... It also has the not-so-intentional side-affect of making the shadows on other thumbs look softer and less blocky (long story short: dA's shadow element didn't play nice with this so I just redid the shadows site-wide).
