Description:

I didn't know a style like this one already existed. If you wish to check it out, Google "Change background image".

"Simple" may as well be an overstatement with how complicated the Google pages have become lately.

This style was created to address the issue of Google removing background images for all users. claiming incapability with their new software; Well, we know nothing is impossible with a little extra code, and this, like everything else on userstyles.org stands as a testament to that.

Find whatever image you were using in Picasa, then apply the image in the code, replacing the included stock image URL. Have fun with this style, and tweak it to your preferences.

More info
I created a new style for those looking to modify the top bar in search results! Check it out Google - Dark subheader.

While not necessarily for those looking to use dark background images, you can use this to make your Google+ name white, and not have it interfere with readability elsewhere.

Thanks for the support people! I made this style free-of-charge for study and reuse. If you want more people to know about this, then feel free to bring this to the attention of your local media! I am sure tech blogs are itching to create an article on how to re-introduce Google background images, and this is it! Be sure to spread the word; Can we get this to 5,000 installations?

Additional features of this style:

* Styles the footer bar to match the header bar
* Removes the Google logo (because I don't know how to replace it, and it looks cleaner)
* Adds padding to fill out the bottom
* Adds color-matched border at the header and footer, for that awesome pinstripe look.

Update 1:
* Adds text color property for text below the seatch bar (hopefully for both images and search)
* Colors links below the search bar
* Adds text shadow property to make the Google account username better stand out in dark backgrounds.

Update 2:
* Lifts restriction on Google logo, because of another style I found that addresses this issue. Google logo changer.

This style was made on a 1600*900 screen, so if there are issues on smaller (or larger) resolutions, do leave a comment.
I made sure the inline code comments holds the hands of newbies. If you enjoy this and want it everywhere, look into using a portable copy of Firefox with Stylish Sync.
