Cleannit - Cleaner Reddit

Description:

Removes distracting elements from the Reddit website layout, including scoring, so you can focus on socializing instead of votes. Profile information is also hidden, to discourage stalking. Vote buttons remain visible to retain ability to participate. Works best with disabled Subreddit Styles. Should be compatible with other styles/scripts.

This style was written to mold reddit into something I might use again. It gets rid of:

* Comment and link scoring
* Profile sidebars for e-peen measuring
* Extraneous "informational" elements
* The ad box
* Reddit Gold-related links
* Default subreddit listing in top bar

In return, I added this:

* the bottom header bar (where "top", "hot", and so on hang out) will appear on hover
* the subreddit bar at the top will appear when the header's hovered on

Voting itself hasn't changed, but if you set up reddit correctly, you can sort by 'new' or 'hot', tell it to hide anything you downvote, and browse reddit knowing your habits are not affected by the presence of social competition (karma, other numbers).

This may match up well with other reddit themes or RES, but I don't use either of those so I can't guarantee anything. If the changes needed to interoperate with them are easy, please let me know so I can improve this. In the interest of being compatible, I've chosen not to use the '!important' keyword, and use only enough specificity to get the desired effect. This allows other styles or scripts to be more specific and do their thing.
